Harmony Public Schools ("HPS") is seeking competitive sealed proposals from qualified offerors to provide construction services for a construction project at "Harmony Science Academy- City Place (Elementary)". The project scope of work includes a ground up construction of a 58,000 square foot elementary facility including parking lot, playgrounds, and landscaping. Construction scope consists of but is not limited to concrete, drywall, glazing, finishes, roofing, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, landscaping, low voltage and other related work as specified in the project documents HPS intends to sign a contract for Construction by 9/01/2023. Actual work to be performed and the schedule for performance under this solicitation will be upon the terms, conditions, and timelines agreed upon by the HPS Superintendent and the selected contractor. Time is of the essence for this project. All items listed in the construction documents shall be completed no later than March 1st, 2025. Deadline will not be moved due to rainy days. Liquidated Damages: Time is of the essence regarding the performance of all Work. If the Contractor fails to achieve Substantial Completion on or before March 1st, 2025, Contractor shall pay to the Owner, as liquidated damages, $2000 per day for each calendar day that Substantial Completion is delayed thereafter. HPS reserves the right to withdraw/cancel this solicitation at any time for any reason, remove any scope component for any reason and to issue such clarifications, modifications and/or amendments as deemed appropriate by HPS, in its sole discretion. Proposers may submit questions through the HPS ebid system, the questions cutoff date and time is Monday, July 17th, 2023, at 5:00 pm CST. Proposers are required to complete all sections provided in the ebid system.
