Site work and paving for a road / highway in Walden, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of construction of an off-highway vehicle (OHV) trail to be constructed by improving an existing logging road at State Forest State Park. Principal items of work consist of grading along the existing logging road to provide a smooth in sloped trail surface, drainage improvements, and installing trail closure gates. All work shall be in compliance with these specifications and construction drawings Improve Old Logging Road Into Motorized Trail for Ohv Use. An event is currently scheduled within the project boundary the last full week of July, 2023. Work cannot begin until the week of July 31, 2023. It is the goal of the park to have work completed and the trail open to public use before hunting seasons begin on September 2, 2023. Service Start : 7/10/2023 Service End : 6/30/2024 A bid bond is not required for documented quotes less than $250,000. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond are required when a construction contract is awarded in excess of $150,000. The liquidated damages set forth is an amount, agreed to by the Contractor and the Division, as reasonably representing additional project construction administration costs incurred by the Division and projected loss of revenue to the Park if the Contractor fails to complete performance within the contract time. For this project the Liquidated Damages will be $150 per day
