Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Cheboygan, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Bid proposals received after this time shall not be considered or accepted. Oral, telephone, fax, or electronic mail bids are invalid and will not receive consideration. Bids must have the following label clearly visible on the package: EAST PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS All bids must include a Bid Security for 5% of the bid amount payable to Cheboygan Area Schools, in either the form of a certified bank check or bid bond Cheboygan Area Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids, either in whole or in part; is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other bid; may waive any informality, irregularity, and/or errors in bids; and in general, to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the owner. The Project consists of: Elementary School Removal and replacement of existing asphalt pavements in select areas. o Pavement expansion along the north parking area and along the south drive entrance. To include excavation, placing new aggregate base and pavements, and restoration. o Drainage improvements along the south edge of the north parking area and along the south drive entrance pavement expansion. To include aggregate base conditioning to ensure drainage. o New sidewalk along then north parking area. Sidewalk replacement and infill in select areas to the rear and south drive entrance. o All work shall be ADA compliant, barrier free. o Crack Fill and Sealcoating on remaining pavements. o Pavement markings throughout the site to generally match existing markings. o Site to be operated with necessary soil erosion and sedimentation control measures and prompt restoration of all disturbed areas. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: GFA, 123 W. Front St., Traverse City, MI 49684; phone 231-946-5874 or andreab@gfa.tc. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of Cheboygan Area Schools, 7461 N. Straits Hwy, Cheboygan, MI 49721, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 am to 3 pm. Alternatively, Bidding Documents are also available on compact disc or through a File Sharing site (as portable document format(PDF) files) for a non-refundable charge of $25, including shipping via overnight express service. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
