A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. 10283.028 General and mechanical construction associated with the replacement of existing Mervine Road Bridge. General scope of work includes but are not limited to the maintenance of temporary road and temporary portable bridge, removal of the existing bridge on Mervine Road (T-412), site preparation, furnishing and installation of steel sheet pile shoring system, installation of an open bottom aluminum box culvert with headwalls and wing walls, placement of riprap, restoration of asphalt paving, installation of guide rails, and removal of the temporary bridges and temporary roadway upon completion of project. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Project Plans and Specifications. Other work items such as removal/disposal of associated debris, maintenance and protection of traffic, and general site restoration shall be considered incidental to the Contract. Questions/clarifications/requests for information shall be submitted by prospective bidders in writing on the Penn Bid site a minimum of 7 days (July 21, 2023) prior to the scheduled bid opening date and time. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid, in form of a certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Stroud Township, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 10 percent (10%) of the total amount bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of not less than one-hundred percent (100%) of the awarded contract amount. The Stroud Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids received or parts thereof, to waive any technicalities in bidding, and to award a contract in the best interests of the Stroud Township.
