New construction of a fire / police facility in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire station.
The Williamstown Fire District seeks qualified contractors for early site work package. *Estimated project value is for the entire fire station project. Every request for such an interpretation of project specifications shall be made in writing by a bidder and sent via email to Mr. John Benzinger, Skanska USA (Owner OPM) at john.benzinger@skanska.com. The deadline for questions is 5:00 PM, June 28, 2023. Williamstown Fire District is soliciting bids for sitework associated with the construction of a New Fire House on Main Street in Williamstown MA. The existing site topography is below the 500 year floor level and must be raised above that mark. Additionally, there is approximately 4' of unsuitable soils present on site that needs to be removed and replaced with suitable material. This work is being done a year in advance of the construction of the new building to preload the site and allow any settlement or natural compaction to occur prior to construction.
