**As of July 26, 2023, project was awarded to DeKoster Excavating, awarded amount is $541,066.77.** sealed bids will be received for the following: Construction of the Sumas Avenue Project All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond and payment bond both in an amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Sumas. All bidders and subcontractors shall have a contractor's license to work in the State of Washington and a City of Sumas Business License. Contact of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with access or registration. No bidder may withdraw his bid after time set for opening thereof, unless award is delayed for a period exceeding 40 days. City of Sumas reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.
