Q & A deadline: Jul 13, 2023 7:00:00 PM EDT Project Description: This project will remove and replace 240 linear feet of 6-inch sewer and remove and replace five wyes along Miguelita Road in San Jose, California. The 6-inch VCP sewer runs along Miguelita Road. and is parallel to Miguelita creek. The project also involves removal and replacement of one manhole frame and cover with a new manhole frame and hinged cover. Bids must be specifically addressed as stated above or risk being misdelivered. Bids not received by the District at the address and by the deadline stated above will be returned unopened. The District requires the Project to be completed in forty (40) working days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Liquidated damages of five hundred dollars ($500) per day will be assessed for each calendar day not finished or completed, before or upon the expiration of the time limit set forth in these Plans and Specifications. The District reserves the right, within its reasonable discretion, to change this date, or cancel the solicitation. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond of a sum no less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid Price. Refer to other bidding requirements described in Document 00200 - Instructions to Bidders Submit your Bid on the Bid Form provided. Your Bid is required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of ninety (90) days after submission. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids.
