1. Concrete Waste Pile Crush o Concrete waste pile crushing in designated area at the Department of Public Works compost site. o Public Works will keep a percentage of the 22A gravel material for the city to use. o Plan is for no cost to the city and to determine tonnage price to determine what amount of material the city will keep. o Contractor agrees do work for material percentage depending on price per ton. The contractor agrees to crush the entire pile of concrete waste for 22A gravel in a timely manner. They must use their own equipment and notify Public Works prior to crushing. In addition, the City of Escanaba, Michigan, will not consider any proposal which has not been received prior to the published time and date of bid opening. Any questions concerning this bid should be directed to the Assistant Superintendent, Kent Dubord at (906) 786-1842. If there are any questions, please call the Department of Public Works at (906) 786-1842, or email wtaavola@escanaba.org, kdubord@escanaba.org All work shall be completed by October 30th, 2023. The City of Escanaba, Michigan, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, at its discretion and to waive any irregularities in the bidding. The City of Escanaba, Michigan, may also split bids at its discretion. The City further reserves the right to negotiate directly with any or all bidders concerning any matter related to any bid.
