The work covered by the Contract Documents includes the following: Supply all material, labor, equipment, and all supplies necessary to construct all items indicated in the plans and specification for installation of the following: removal and reconfiguration of electrical equipment, removal of concrete pads, trenching, new conduits, primary cabling, riser pole modifications, structure modifications, and grounding All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing to the Engineer, Ed Sullivan, Quad3 Group Inc., 3495 Butler St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201 or via email at esullivan@quad3.com. Detailed requirements of the work are described on the pertinent specification sections and/or shown on the drawings. All labor, supervision, materials (poles, conductor, cable, hardware, etc,), equipment (line trucks, cable pulling apparatus, temporary arms, boots, tools, etc.), and miscellaneous comsumables (tape, rope, etc.) shall be provided by the Contractor. The work for this project consists of, but is not limited to the following: 1) Demolition of existing substation equipment (power transformer, switchgeaer, structure, etc.) and cabling. 2) Reconfiguration and connection of existing spare, 5kV metal-clad outdoor switchgear unit. 3) Modification of structure bus. 4) Construction of new 4.16kV main cable connection to 5kV switchgear unit. 5) Construction of (2) new 4.16kV feeder cable risers. 6) Replacement of aerial feeder crossarms assemblies to accommodate new feeders. 7) Provide 48VDC battery system for switchgear breaker control power.
