**As of July 24, 2025, the project was awarded to Site Prep Services , with an awarded amount $75,553.75.** Sherman Avenue Sidewalk Replacement Project contact Kevin Robertson at 330-544-9000 EXT 1171. 1. The work to be performed on this project generally consists of the removal of 3,920 square feet of existing sidewalk and 42 linear feet of existing curb. 3,250 square feet of 4i concrete walk, 800 square feet of 6i concrete walk, and 75 square feet of curb ramp will be installed. All walk and curb ramp installation must be ADA compliant. Miscellaneous and incidental repairs such as installation of new curb, linear grading, seeding & mulching, and drive replacement are part of this project. The project is located on Sherman Avenue. 2. Contractor shall remove, preserve, and restore signs, mailboxes, etc. upon completion of the project. Traffic safety signs (stop, speed limit, etc.) shall be installed immediately. 3. Contractor shall restore the project area to existing conditions upon completion of the project. B. The work shall be in accordance with City of Niles and ODOT specifications and in reasonably close conformity with the contract documents based upon the direction of the City. The work shall include the removal and replacement of the existing sidewalk in the designated locations and associated curb ramps within the project area. The contractor shall provide maintenance of traffic on an as needed and as directed by the City basis. The site shall be restored to existing conditions upon completion of the project. C. Notification and Measurement: Change orders will be issued per the requirements of the General Conditions of these Specifications. Change orders for deduction amounts or additions will be the difference between the unit cost amounts multiplied by measured base quantity and the unit cost multiplied by the field measured quantity or count in place. Owner reserves the right to establish final measures or count of work-in-place by independent quantity surveyor. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
