The project includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing posts and cables, excavation, and site preparation for installation of new shade sail including reinforced concrete footings, structural steel fabrications, signage, and protection of existing site features and restoration of disturbed areas after construction work is complete. The base bid estimate range is $150,000 - $180,000. Alternates range $20,000 - $40,000. Time of completion is 225 calendar days. If not completed by such date, the Contractor shall be liable to the District for damages. The Contractor acknowledges and agrees to abide by all provisions of the General Conditions Article 3.07, Damages for Failure to Achieve Timely Completion. The Contractor further agrees to pay to the Owner as liquidated damages the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day that he shall be in default after the time of completion specified herein Metro Parks Tacoma encourages an MWBE goal of eight percent (8%) on all Public Works projects ESTIMATED AT $20,000.00 OR MORE, including Subcontractors.
