Based on the level of active, permitted and planned land development activities occurring in the BJWSA service area, BJWSA has determined that there is a need to conduct a Capacity Analysis of the BJWSA wastewater pumping system, inclusive of force mains and gravity sewers. Question Deadline 07/13/2023 at 2:00 PM ET The Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority (BJWSA) currently owns, operates, and maintains approximately 530 wastewater pumping stations and eight wastewater treatment plants in the service area. The BJWSA service area is segregated into eight basins - one basin for each wastewater treatment plant. Within each wastewater treatment plant basin, BJWSA relies on regional pumping stations to convey wastewater flow to the treatment plants, and the balance of the 530 wastewater pumping stations convey wastewater flow to one of the eight regional wastewater pumping stations. Wastewater pumping stations within the BJWSA service area range in size from 40 gallons per minute to 1.5 million gallons per day.
