This contract provides for a 2-inch HMA overlay on Cook Road between the west City limits and the W Ferry Street roundabout (approximately 2,500 ft). Overlay work will include planing and pavement markings on Cook Road. Other work elements include traffic control, temporary pavement marking, adjusting existing structures, and curb ramp upgrades. The project also includes a 2-inch HMA overlay of Jameson Street between Township Street and Railroad Avenue (approximately 1,200 ft). Overlay work will include planing, pavement repair, placement of paving fabric, pavement markings, and curb ramp upgrades. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Sedro-Woolley. The City of Sedro-Woolley reserves the right to accept a proposal of the bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid, to reject any or all bids, revise or cancel the work to be performed, or do the work otherwise, if the best interest of the City is served thereby. The City of Sedro-Woolley also reserves the right to postpone the bid award for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after bid opening. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
