The City of Crisfield (hereinafter referred to as the "City") is requesting proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to provide Engineering Assessment, Design, and Construction Management Services for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems for the City's Historic Armory. The City is soliciting proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to provide: an assessment of the existing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system in the Armory, provide HVAC improvement recommendations, preparation of plans, specifications and estimates of such improvements for permitting and bidding, and provide construction management services during construction. The Proposals shall be in a sealed envelope identified with the proposer's business name and contact information. Sealed envelope shall reference "Request for Proposals - HVAC Engineering Assessment, Design, and Construction Management Services for the Historic Crisfield Armory". Proposals will not be publicly opened. All inquires shall be directed in written/email request to Jennifer Merritt, City of Crisfield Grants Administrator at City of Crisfield, 319 West Main Street, Crisfield, Maryland 21817 or jmerritt@crisfieldcityhall.com. Any interested proposer that does not attend the pre-proposal meeting must send a letter of intent to bid with proposer's business name and contact information. The City's Armory building was originally constructed in 1927 and is approximately 18,800 square feet including basement with meeting rooms and bathrooms, gymnasium and two (2) floors of offices with amenities. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and thus all modifications to the building must be coordinated and approved by the Maryland Historical Trust. In 2019, an assessment was completed on the Armory of which can be provided upon request for informational purposes only. Project Administration Kick-off Meeting - Upon receipt of a written Notice to Proceed/Purchase Order from the City, consultant shall conduct a kick-off meeting with the City to review the scope of the project, develop a project schedule, and confirm deliverables. The project schedule shall include each task and subtasks, milestones, major milestones/critical path designation and a schedule for progress meetings. Consultant shall prepare monthly progress reports to the City identifying updates as the project moves forward.
