Renovation of a fire / police facility in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The contractor shall provide all material and labor that is required as indicated herein and/or on the drawings and as required by the manufacturer’s instructions. The following list is a summary of representative items in the work: .1 Remove of existing boilers and venting. Isolate boilers and piping in mechanical room and remove and store glycol. Have glycol independently tested for type, condition, and concentration and provide report for review. Replace or re-install as directed. Allow for approximately 180 liters of new 50% propylene glycol to top up system as necessary. Provide Glycol Environmental Disposal Plan for review where disposal is required. .2 Removal of existing expansion tank, air separator, and associated piping. .3 Removal of existing heating piping in boiler room up to but not including supply and return headers. Existing headers and branch piping/pumps to remain. .4 Removal of existing boiler controls and electrical connections. .5 Disconnect existing fuel oil piping from day tank to boilers. Reconnect to new boilers. .6 Modify and repair (if necessary) existing concrete pads to suit dimensions of new boilers. Make repairs so pads are like new, and paint as indicated. .7 Provide new boilers and venting including barometric draft dampers. Boilers to be provided with new boiler pumps and integrated control panels. Boilers to be assembled on site. Make connections to existing BAS as indicated. All BAS work shall be by existing maintenance contractor (Automatic Controls) as indicated. Reconnect fuel oil piping to new boilers. .8 Provide new insulated and jacketed heating piping from boilers to existing supply and return headers. Provide new fittings, valves, gauges, and air eliminator as indicated. Confirm system boiler piping in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. .9 Provide new expansion tanks in mechanical penthouse above including new piping. Provide new air separator. Existing propylene glycol feeder system to remain. Re-install saved fluid. Provide additional new 50% propylene glycol as necessary to fill system. Confirm that the existing fluid is 50% propylene glycol before re-fill. Question Acceptance Deadline: Jul 19, 2023 02:00 PM MDT Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. No bids received. Plans to re-tender has not been determined.
