Renovation of a religious / funeral development in Union, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a religious / funeral development.

**As of September 6, 2023 there was only one bidder, and the bid is still under review.** The Owner is exempt from paying sales and use tax and intends for bidders to exclude said tax from the contract amount as specified herein. B. Owner’s Instructions: 1. The Owner shall furnish a copy of the entity’s Missouri Tax Exemption Letter to the Contractor. 2. The Owner shall furnish an Exemption Certificate authorizing purchases for construction. The form and content of such project exemption shall be approved by the Director of Revenue. The project exemption certificate shall include but not be limited to: a. The exempt entity’s name, address, Missouri tax identification number and signature of authorized representative; b. The project location, description and unique identification number; c. The date the contract is entered into, which is the earliest date materials may be purchased for the project on a tax-exempt basis; d. The estimated project completion date; and e. The certificate expiration date. C. Contractor’s Instructions: 1. The Contractor shall EXCLUDE all sales and use tax in his bid. 2. The Contractor shall furnish a copy of the Owner’s Missouri Tax Exemption Letter to all subcontractors. 3. The Contractor shall furnish a copy of the exemption certificate to all subcontractors, and any contractor purchasing materials shall present the certificate to all material suppliers as authorization to purchase, on behalf of the exempt entity, all tangible personal property and materials to be incorporated or consumed in the construction of that project and no other on a tax-exempt basis. Such suppliers shall execute to the purchasing contractor invoices bearing the name of the exempt entity and the project identification number.
