TIMELINE: Request for Proposal is underway for experienced Engineering firms ('the Proponent') to evaluate the existing SCADA system and develop a SCADA master plan. The main goal of the Master Plan is to assess the current functionality and future requirements of the District's SCADA system. The resulting Master Plan will achieve the following objectives: Identify any deficiencies in the current SCADA system. Provide recommendations for the standardization and operation of the SCADA system. Identify future needs and offer cost estimates to help with staffing and budget planning. The proposed work includes but is not limited to the following: 2.1 SCADA SYSTEM - CURRENT STATE Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the SCADA system's functionality and current operational practices with the staff and prepare a memorandum to showcase the proponent's understanding of the District's SCADA system. Deliverables: District's current use of SCADA [Memorandum] 2.2 SCADA SYSTEM - REQUIREMENTS The selected proponent will facilitate working with district staff to develop a vision for the system's future. The proponent must determine the business, technical, and governance requirements of the system and identify any existing components that are not needed. Based on the workshops, the proponent must prepare an interim report detailing the system's requirements and long-term goals, which must be reviewed and approved by the SCADA manager before proceeding. Based on workshop discussions, the selected proponent will document the requirements of the SCADA system in an interim report, providing to the District's SCADA manager for review, revision, and approval prior to initiation of subsequent tasks.
