The District’s priority is to provide electric heating/cooling & electric hot water heating at the West Vancouver Memorial Library. The Proponent is to determine the best solution to electrify the building. The Proponent shall include all work necessary but if it is anticipated that a service upgrade will be required then this should be identified and a recommended budget provided. The District is not tied to any brand of equipment. Please disregard any mention of a specific brand if it appears in any reference material. Proponents are to determine the equipment to include in their proposal. The Proponent shall confirm the required capacity of electrical service during the detailed design phase after the package of measures is implemented. The base scope of work includes replacement of the following equipment: 1. Gas fired boilers (2) 2. Gas hot water heater (1) with an electric hot water tank. There is minimal load as there are only handwash sinks in the facility 3. Radiators throughout to be compatible with low grade hot water temperatures and be controlled by the central plant DDC system 4. Space temperature sensors to be incorporated into the DDC system 5. Conversion of 21 VAVs to a Reliable controls system to be compatible with the building systems 6. Replace existing pump P-3 and P-4 7. Boost SFU-1 capacity to be compatible with low grade water temperatures 8. Ensure that the electrical capacity is enough for 2 future level 2 electrical vehicle charging stations (by others)
