Architectural and Engineering Services For the Valdosta Housing Authority The Valdosta Housing Authority of the City of Valdosta, Georgia hereby requests proposals from Qualified Architectural/Engineering Firms to provide design and engineering support services required to implement facility renovations funded under the Authority's Capital Fund Program. The Authority will sign a contract that covers work under its current Capital Fund Program, with an option to extend under future year programs, as allowed by Federal requirements. The Authority expects to receive approximately $800,000.00 in funding under its yearly capital allocation. The Authority cannot guarantee the annual funding amounts as the Capital Fund Program is a federally funded program and dependent upon the federal governments budgeting process. This Contract will be covered under Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. All bidders are required to provide employment, training and contracting opportunities to the greatest extent feasible to low and very low income individuals. Attention is called to the provisions for equal opportunity employment and the requirement that not less than the current minimum salaries and wages as established by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U. S. Department of Labor must be paid on this project. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
