A Bid Bond or Surety 2000 in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each proposal as a guaranty. It is the intent of the City of Manitowoc to have the Contractor furnish all labor, equipment, materials, water, electric power, traffic control and all incidentals necessary for completing the cleaning and television inspection of sanitary and storm sewers on the various streets listed below. The Contractor shall take note that some of the sewers are located within easements. The Contractor shall possess the necessary equipment and expertise to clean and televise sewers that are located in these off-road easement areas as required. A representative from the Department of Public Infrastructure - Engineering Division will be made available to locate manholes in easements if the contractor fails to locate these manholes. The Contractor shall notify the project engineer prior to initiating any off-road work that will cause rutting and disturbance due to the cleaning and televising equipment. Televising Sewers. The Contractor shall be held responsible for all restoration of disturbed areas caused by the Contractor's negligence. The intent of the television inspection is to determine the location of all existing service connections (wyes or taps) to the sewer and to determine the overall structural condition of the existing sewer pipes, including any infiltration. he Contractor may contact Mr. Mike Jaeger (920) 686-3552 of the Wastewater Treatment Facility regarding the possible disposal of the sanitary sewer material at this facility.
