(b) Aggregates: Concrete aggregates shall conform to Tentative Specifications for Concrete Aggregates, ASTM C33. (c) Water: Water used in mixing concrete shall be clean and free from oil, acid, salt, injurious amounts of alkali, organic matter, or other deleterious substances. (d) Entraining Agent: An air-entraining agent shall be used on all concrete exposed to the weather. The agent shall conform to ASTM Designation C260-10. (e) Admixtures: Admixtures may be permitted to be used in Portland cement concrete to control set effect, water reduction, and increase work ability. Admixtures shall conform to the requirements of ASTM C494/C494M-08. Calcium chloride will not be permitted to be used inconcrete. (f) Reinforced Steel: All bar material used for reinforcement of concrete shall be intermediate grade steel conforming to the requirements of ASTM Designation A615/A615M-22 for grade 60 steel reinforcement.
