The project is on hold for further design review, value engineering, and public comment and will be re-bid in the near future Scope of Work: This project requires the contractor to provide all material, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to remodel the restroom facility at 801 Shoreline Drive, City of Santa Barbara. Project has been cancelled The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of 10 percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashiers or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that within ten days after City issues the Notice of Award, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates and endorsements, and any other submittals required by the Contract Documents and as specified in the Notice of Award. The successful bidder will be required to provide separate performance and payment bonds for 100% of the Contract Price regardless of contract dollar amount, as further specified in the Contract Documents. License(s). The successful bidder must possess a valid California A contractors license, and its Subcontractor(s) must possess the California contractor’s license(s) in the classification(s) required by law to perform the Work. The successful bidder must also obtain a City business license within 10 calendar days following City’s issuance of the Notice of Award. Each Subcontractor must also obtain a City business license before performing any Work. The Project must be completed within 90 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin on or about mid to late March 2024, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. The estimate for this Project is $300,000.00. Questions or requests for clarifications regarding the Project, the bid procedures, or any of the Contract Documents must be submitted in writing through website no later than February 27, 2024 at 12:00p.m. Oral responses are not authorized and are not binding on the City. Bidders should submit any such written inquiries at least 10 calendar days before the scheduled bid opening. Questions received any later might not be addressed before the bid deadline.
