Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Santa Barbara, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; museum; and museum.
The County of Santa Barbara General Services Department ("County") is seeking qualifications from design/consultant teams ("Proposers" or "Consultants") demonstrating expertise in providing design for the retrofitting and rehabilitation of registered historic landmark structures, particularly in the upgrade and replacement of HVAC systems and the structural design support for those systems. The successful Proposer should have a track record of working closely with public entities, knowledge of the U.S. Secretary of the Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties (SOIS) and its application to the project and having the technical capability to advise and produce construction plans for the Santa Barbara Veterans Memorial Building The selected Proposer will provide the following deliverables: 1) a thorough assessment of the site conditions and integrity of existing infrastructure by providing a feasibility study; 2) an environmental document based on the environmental and CEQA Analysis; 3) coordination of required permitting; and 4) phased design plans to support competitive bid solicitation. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
