Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary and incidental to the completion of the project known as On-Call Asphalt and Concrete Services. The City of Scotts Valley maintains approximately 32 centerline miles of arterial, collector and local streets. BID SECURITY: Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bidder's bond in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total aggregate of the bid. The check or bond shall be made payable to the order of the City of Scotts Valley. The contractor shall provide, at the time of the execution of the agreement or contract for work, at his own expense, a surety bond in an amount equal to at least one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of said agreement. Contractor shall also provide, at the time of the execution of the agreement or contract for work, and at his own expense, a separate surety bond in the amount equal to at least one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as security for the payment of all persons performing and furnishing materials in connection with said agreement. Sureties on each of said bonds shall be satisfactory to the City Attorney. The Publicn Works Department is responsible for the administration of the On-Call Asphalt and Concrete Services contract. See Section 4 - Scope of Works for details. The maximum total amount payable under the contract is $250,000, but City offers no assurances of the actual dollar value of the work. The Public Works Department is responsible for the administration of the On-Call Asphalt and Concrete Services contract. The work for each work order shall be completed 40 working days after issuance of notification to proceed. The Contractor shall pay to the City of Scotts Valley the sum of $1,500 per day, for each and every calendar days delay in finishing the work in excess of the number of working days prescribed above.
