Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc. is soliciting sealed bids from qualified Licensed Timber Operators to perform mechanical forest fuels reduction work and mechanical forest restoration work in the Plumas National Forest, Beckwourth Ranger District. The project area is approximately 1.5 miles south of Thompson Peak, 3 miles south of Janesville, and 4 miles west of U.S. Route 395. The project is located in all or portions ofT27N R12E Sections 1 and 12; T27N R13E Sections 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,14,15,16,17,18 and 22; T28N R13E Sections 29, 31,32,33 and 34 M.D.M. Project implementation is expected in 2023-2025. Project will involve work in burned and unburned stands including tree felling, skidding, decking, chipping, and hauling of material to biomass utilization facilities. Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer according to the information found in the bid package. Bids will be accepted from contractors who demonstrate an ability to successfully complete the scope ofwork being bid and have valid required insurances and licenses in effect at the time of bid submission.
