Renovation of a fire / police facility in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Work generally consists of the removal and replacement of two (2) air curtains each compatible with existing hot water heating coil with new ones of the same dimensions but of smaller horsepower. Consequently, the associated electrical connections will need to be replaced as well. The Work also includes the construction of one (1) acoustic wall, and the replacement of an existing door with an STC 50 rated door as outlined on the Project Drawings. The replacement of the air curtains will consist of the disconnection of the existing electrical feed, removal of the existing air curtain, and the installation of the replacement air curtain. The electrical work includes reutilization of the existing feeders and revising fusing to match the new load. The construction of the new acoustical wall includes the supply and installation of all steel studs, gypsum board, acoustic insulation, sealant, and all other materials required to construct the wall and all the electrical work to relocate the existing devices on the existing block wall to the surface of the new wall.
