Pavement Assessment: The consultant will be responsible for survey data collection and rating the pavement condition of each Village roadway (approximately 160 center line miles of roadway). Data collection shall be conducted during optimal conditions using LCMS-2 equipment, or equivalent. Data collection shall not occur in rain, snow, fog, or in any condition that will adversely affect data quality. The pavements shall not be wet/damp or have snow/ice or standing water on them at the time of collection. Data shall be collected on one lane for residential streets and two lanes for roadways with four or more lanes. Scanning shall be over the full width of the lane. Work shall be in accordance with ASTM D6433 - 20: Standard Practice for Roads and Parking Lots Pavement Condition Index Survey. The comprehensive network level survey should include a continuous assessment of roughness per the International Roughness Index (IRI), rutting, cracking, surface distress and environmental factors. Every street shall be surveyed with a Road Surface Tester (RST) or equivalent. These network level surveys with block to block test sections will be linked to the Village's Geographic Information System (GIS). Two direction testing is required on divided streets and arterials and collectors with four or more lanes of traffic. The surface condition survey shall be conducted continuously over the entire length of the test section and will not be based on sample sections.
