Site work for a water / sewer project in Cowen, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of October 3,2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The work of this Contract includes the construction of four (4) lift stations, approximately 28,200 LF of new gravity service line, 13,250 LF of new forcemains to approximately 133 new customers. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Cowen Public Service District in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of Contractors obligations under the Contract The bidder agrees that he/she shall make positive efforts to subcontract at least 7% (2% MBE/5% WBE) of the total value of the contract. The fair share objective shall be obtained in conformance with the six (6) affirmative steps as outlined. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. Upper Glade Sewer System Extension 330 / 360
