Saving Project...

Renovation of a fire / police facility in Edison, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The purpose of this contract is to replace two (2) existing natural gas boilers at Fire Station #3, located in the Basement Electrical Room and Basement Boiler Room at 847 Amboy Avenue, and to replace the existing two-section modular natural gas boilers with one (1) new boiler at Fire Station #4, located in the First Floor Boiler Room at 850 New Dover Road. The improvements include, but are not limited to retaining the existing circulation pumps; new individual boiler controllers for each boiler; replacing the thermostats with new programmable thermostats; new zone controllers supplied by the boiler manufacturer; connecting to existing exhaust flues; modifying existing piping, as required, to accommodate new boilers; new expansion tanks for each boiler, sized in accordance with the manufacturers recommendation; reconnection of all existing power and control wiring, including running new as may be required; and the removal and demolition of all boilers, piping, etc. Project is to be completed in sixty (60) days after contract award and receipt of the notice to proceed. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.
