The Ventura County Waterworks District No. 8 invites your firm to submit a proposal for Construction Inspection Support Services for the Walnut 2 West 2.0 MG Tank Rehabilitation and Recoating Project. The City of Simi Valley/Ventura County Waterworks District No. 8 (District) is soliciting Proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide Construction Inspection Support Services (Services) for the Walnut 2 West Storage Tank Rehabilitation and Recoating Project (Project). The Consultant is expected to perform Services to the tank rehabilitation work that will be conducted by the Contractor, which includes sealing seams, repairing corrosion, replacing specified equipment, installing new gaskets, installing new roof supports, rafter bracing, replace inlet piping, vent screen, lower weir and overflow piping, and removing and installing a new cathodic protection system, as well as removing the existing interior coating and applying a new coating. In addition, the Consultant is expected to perform the items included in the Scope of Work to ensure the rehabilitation and recoating of the Project is completed within an effective work schedule. PW 24-03R In order to guard against premature opening, the Proposal shall be clearly labeled with the bid title, name of bidder, and date and time of bid opening. If the Proposal is delivered to the District via Express Delivery, or other priority mail service, the above information must also be included on the outside shipment envelope The expected completion date of this Service is 120 consecutive calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The attached Request for Proposal contains information and procedures to assist you in the preparation of the Proposal. Attention is directed to prospective Proposers to meet the minimum insurance requirements for the Proposal. The firm rated as the most qualified for the requested services will be invited to negotiate a final contract. If an arrangement is not reached, the District may terminate negotiations and commence negotiations with the next most qualified firm. The selected firm must execute a written contract prepared by the District (sample copy attached). The award of contract will be based on a combination of all of the evaluation factors. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and to award or not to award a contract. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
