Scope of Work: Erie Township is seeking separate proposals for three separate scopes of work to be completed at the Morin Point Fire Department, located at 6333 Summit St. Erie, MI 48133. The Clerk/Erie Township Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids and to reject the bid of any Bidder if the Clerk/Board believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the bid is not responsive or if the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any pertinent standards or criteria established by the Board. The Clerk/Board also reserves the right to waive all informalities in any bid should it be deemed in the best interest of Erie Township or the Morin Grove Assessment District to do so. Discrepancies between the multiplication of units of work and the unit prices will be resolved in favor of the unit price. Here are the steps and information requested to draft your bid/proposal: Review the specifications for each individual section below Outline and itemize all accessories, materials and labor costs associated with each project individually, and in aggregate if there is a cost saving to perform all three projects at once. The dimensions are not guaranteed to be accurate, and it is recommended to visit the site in person prior to submitting a proposal. A. NORTH PARKING LOT (APPROX 9500 sq. ft): 1. Remove asphalt from the north lot down to the stone base, disposal of all materials removed shall be the responsibility of the contractor. 2. Add 2" of #304 quarry stone to existing stone and grade for positive drainage. 3. Pave with 2" #304 asphalt base. 4. Pave with 1.5" of #448 Type 1 wearing course. B. SOUTH PARKING LOT (SEAL & STRIPE - APPROX 7,250 sq. ft): 1. Clean and edge lot. 2. Remove vegetation from cracks 3. Seal cracks with a hot applied rubber sealant. 4. Restripe C. NORTH WEST STONE DRIVE WAY (2,800 sq. ft): 1. Remove vegetation from the existing stone base as needed. 2. Fine Grade Stone. 3. Pave with 2" of #301 asphalt base 4. Pave with 1.5" of #448 type 1 asphalt wearing course. E. CONTRACTORS GUARANTEE/WARRANTY OF SERVICE: 1. Provide to the contractors guarantee/warranty for the scope of work to be performed and covered.
