Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Stanwood, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Johnson Farm Park was purchased with Conservation Futures funds, which limits future uses as follows: Passive Recreation: trails, interpretive centers, viewpoints, picnic facilities, access, restrooms, restoration projects, associated parking. The project includes demolition of the existing buildings and building a parking lot and restrooms. Estimated project costs are as follows: 2023: Environmental studies to prepare the site for demolition (Phase 2 Environmental Study, Building Haz-Mat Study, and Environmental Cleanup Report). Once the environmental reports are completed, the site will be cleaned based on the recommendations in the reports. 2025: Parking lot and restroom design 2026: Parking lot and restroom construction This project is included in the City of Stanwood's FY 2023-2024 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) As of August 10, 2023, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Construction is anticipated from 2026.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
