The street is regularly closed for the following events: Arts By the Bay festival; Summary Arts Jam; Small Trailer Event; Twin City Idlers Car Show; Stanwood Camano Fair parade; Touch- A-Truck, National Night Out; and the Downtown Concert Series. This site will enhance these events by providing park space for people to rest, eat and relax during these events. The site has remained underutilized and vacant since the 1990s. The site`s location within the main street business district of the City of Stanwood provides a great opportunity to support local businesses with a public park in the downtown corridor This project is included in the City of Stanwood's FY 2023-2024 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Per the owner, as of September 13, 2023, a design team has been selected. The owner states that construction is anticipated in 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
