Site work for a water / sewer project in Stanwood, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construct a removable floodwall on Florence Road to prevent flooding of downtown Stanwood during flood events. Design, permit and build a removable wall on Florence Road on BNSF rail right of way to help prevent flooding into the City's downtown during high tides and flood events. City will design and install the wall on city right of way; BNSF staff will install the pilings needed on BNSF right of way. Flood walls will be owned and maintained by the city. This project is included in the City of Stanwood's FY 2023-2024 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) As of August 10, 2023, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Construction is anticipated in 2023.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
