Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Middletown, Ohio. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of December 5, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The City of Middletown is actively seeking proposals from qualified contractors to install new power cables from the Citys wellfield to the Water Treatment Plant. It is the intent of these specifications to describe the project in sufficient detail to obtain bids from several contractors. However, alternative alignments and approaches will be considered with sufficient detail to support the recommendation. There will be no substitutions for cables and splices. Other cables and splices will n ot be evaluated by the City of Middletown. High voltage cable will fail if it is not replaced with exact specifications. Substitutions for Quazite boxes will be considered. All equipment must be new, unopened, sealed by the manufacturer in the box. While the purpose of this specification is to indicate certain minimum requirements, it is not the intent to exclude any bids, but is written to ensure the City of Middletown a contractor most suitable for its requirements.
