365 Dockery Road, South Hill, Virginia 23970 250 Middle School Road, Skipwith, Virginia 23968 The Mecklenburg County Board of Supervisors is requesting bids from qualified firms for the demolition of Park View and/or Bluestone Middle Schools. Bids may be submitted for both projects as a package or for each individual school site. The scope of the demolition includes all building environmental remediation assessment, abatement, and amelioration, including hazardous materials, as well as the removal, transport, and disposal of all built above ground structures and any supportive below grade foundations associated with these two facilities, and fill to surrounding grade. All bidders must be registered with the Virginia Board of Contractors and hold a Class A License. Evidence of Worker's Compensation Insurance must be submitted with each bid. A bid bond in the amount of not less than 5% must be submitted with the bid. A performance and payment bond of 100% of the contract award amount will be required of the successful bidder and shall be executed by one or more surety companies authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia by the successful bidder prior to the commence of work. The County reserves the right to reject all bids.
