The Owner is the Town of Sherburne and the work site is located in the Town of Sherburne, Chenango County, New York. The projects limits extend from 175 feet west to 950 feet east of the existing crossing. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the Plans and described in these Specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Remove and replace the existing Granville Hill Road Culvert and reconstruct approximately 725 linear feet of approach roadway to tie the structure into the adjacent highway. The work under Contract No. LD 040937, P.I.N 9755.48 for Replacement of Granville Hill Road Culvert over Tributary to Handsome Brook is located approximately 0.5 miles east of the intersection of NYS Route 12 and Granville Hill Road. NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on January 1, 2025 as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation's website must be followed by the successful Bidder. The items of work under Contract LD 040937 include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: The project includes removing and replacing the existing structure carrying Granville Hill Road over the Tributary to Handsome Brook. The existing culvert will be replaced with a precast concrete box culvert and a combination of cast-inplace concrete wingwalls and dimensional stone wingwalls. Approximately 110 linear feet of stream channel will be reconstructed with a dimensional stone wall and medium stone fill. The project includes approximately 725 linear feet of full depth approach reconstruction. Traffic will be maintained through an off-site detour. There are no DBE goals for this project. The SDVOB goal for this project is 6%. There M/WBE goals for this project are 10% and 15%, respectively. The EEO Employment goals for this project are: 1.2% Minority Employment Goal 6.9% Women Employment Goal Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information For Bidders. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The successful Bidder and all subcontractors must have an approved CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT prior to being awarded a contract.
