WORK DESCRIPTION The project site is located in the Town of Garner, former Meadowbrook Country Club property, address 8025 Country Club Drive, Garner, NC 27529. This project involves draining the existing pond and removal of a section of the dam at the downstream end of the existing pond. The dam removal will, require safely relocating native fish, draining the pond to a specified elevation to allow the dam to be removed and proposed channel to be constructed. The removal of the dam will include the construction of a permanent channel/spillway that directs drainage to the receiving unnamed tributary. Material removed from the existing dam will be hauled to a stockpile area outside of the pond limits within the Meadowbrook property. In addition to the dam removal, there will be associated grading and earthwork around the edge of the old pond (flattening the banks and establishing vegetation, etc.). This phase of the project will require standard in-line erosion control devices as well as perimeter devices to delineate the project area as well as protect offsite areas from sheet flow runoff. The total disturbed area of the project is 6.9 acres.
