Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and water / sewer project.

Project has been cancelled. Will rebid in the near future Work under this contract shall include all labor, materials, equipment, tools, utility abandonment, transportation services, landfill fees, and all incidentals necessary for the completion of the demolition covered by the contract documents. The property has not been tested for asbestos and should be considered contaminated. The property is not safe to enter; you may view the exterior at your own risk. For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond for 5% be submitted with the bid. The front page of the bid bond should be scanned and attached with the electronic bid. Bids over $100,000, received without a bid bond, will be considered non-responsive. For all bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to submit a Performance/Maintenance Bond for 100% of the total amount of the project, and a 4 year Maintenance Bond. Questions are due Wednesday August 2, 2023 at 12:00pm and will be answered Friday August 4, 2023 at 3:00pm. Questions are to be submitted via the questions tab in bid on electronic bidding system. Answers will be posted in the same location. The demolitions must be completed within thirty (30) calendar days of the start of work at that address or completion date above. Completion for the projects shall include the removal of all equipment, construction debris and materials as specified herein. If for any reason the awarded contractor(s) fails to complete the demolition(s) by the completion date agreed upon in the contract, a penalty fee of $100 per day will be charged until the satisfactory completion. Proof of insurance must be produced by the awarded contractor. The Insurance Certificate shall cover General Liability, Vehicle, and Workers Compensation. No bid bond or performance bond will be required for bids under $100,000.00. The contract signing will occur as soon as possible, but no later than ten (10) days after the department has made their award recommendation.
