The work consists of selective demolition of the interior pumping and equipment in the station, installing a new packaged duplex pumping system, associated pump station valves, piping and supports, modifications to the existing structure to incorporate a new access hatch and vents, new exterior motor control center on an exterior pad, manual transfer switch with plug connection for a portable generator. Bids shall be on a lump sum price basis with some unit price items as indicated in the Bid Form. Question Deadline 08/16/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted in writing to the Town of Ayer DPW Water and Sewer Superintendent by mail, e-mail (kabraham@ayer.ma.us), or FAX (978-772-8244) n order to receive consideration, questions must be received by Engineer at least five days prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids. A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The DCAMM certificate of eligibility to be submitted by the Filed Sub-Bidders shall be for the category of work for which they are submitting a Bid. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract.
