Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a 14,600-square-foot playground / park / athletic field.
Reference Number 0000326155 The Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB) is interested in designing and constructing a universally inclusive, ADA compliant playground approximately 10,000 square feet to replace an existing playground approximately 4,600 square feet. This playground will be the main playground for the campus and will serve deaf/hard hearing, blind/visually impaired and handicap children in grades K-12. CSDB wants the playground to be installed and completed by August 9th, 2024 The playground location and site-specific plan are in Appendix D - Aesthetic Guidelines and Construction Standards. This project will be completed using the Design/Build Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) project delivery method. The project budget is $1,954,154. The Department of Education / Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind intends to select a Design/Build Entity who will design, manage and construct the project as described within. The process to be used in the selection of the firm is comprised of two steps: A Jury Panel of individuals who will be involved in the project and/or understand the required services associated with Design/Build Contracting will evaluate responses to this RFP for both STEPS.
