Renovation of a municipal facility in Fort Frances, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Work of this Contract comprises selective demolition and installation of new roof top units and associated ductwork and accessories at roof level up to the existing ductwork openings in the roof. The subject building is a two storey facility with a below grade basement. The building contains multiple government offices and was reportedly constructed prior to 1995. It comprises private offices, open concept work areas, washrooms, mechanical and storage rooms and public areas. Renovations are planned for five RTUs and associated ductwork in ceiling spaces in the basement, first and second floors of the subject building. Although there is an existing inventory of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) for the subject building, a pre-renovation DSS is considered necessary to provide contractors with additional information about any hidden or previously unidentified designated substances in the renovation areas.
