RFI Responses Issued Monday, August 7, 2022 by 4:00 p.m. Proposal Submission Deadline Monday, August 14, 2023 by 1:00 p.m. Interviews Short-listed firms will be invited to an interview to be scheduled during theweek of August 21, 2023 Preliminary Notification of Award Monday, August 28,2023 The Town of Ellington, in conjunction with the Board of Education, will be accepting written qualifications and price proposals from qualified engineering design firms to provide design services for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system upgrades for the Ellington Public Schools. This solicitation is both a request for qualifications and a request for proposals (RFQ/RFP). The services to be performed are described below. Interested and qualified parties who have demonstrated their ability at comparable work are invited to submit qualifications and proposals. Additional information may be obtained at the office of the Finance Officer, 55 Main Street, Ellington, Connecticut, during normal business hours, on or after July 21, 2023. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after opening of the same without approval and written consent of the Town of Ellington. The Town of Ellington reserves the right to amend or terminate this Request for Qualification & Proposal, to reject any or all qualifications & proposals, to waive any informalities, omissions, excess verbiage or technical defects in the qualification or proposal, and the Town need not necessarily award the contract to the lowest proposer if, in the opinion of the Town, it would be in the best interest of the Town of Ellington to accept another qualification or proposal because of the greater expertise, experience, resources, efficiency or familiarity with the Town of the proposer.
