CLAIR COUNTY Juvenile Detention Center Parking Lot Light Pole Replacement ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Public Building Commission of St. Clair County, Illinois (PBC), (the owner), will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date, at the location given below for ST. CLAIR COUNTY Juvenile Detention Center – Parking Lot Light Pole Replacement. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner and delivered in a sealed envelope marked with the project name and the name of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: Public Building Commission of St. Clair County #10 Public Square, B-551 Belleville, IL 62220 Bids may also be submitted electronically by the same time and date below at pbcproject@co.st-clair.il.us. Owner's Representative: James Brede, Director of Buildings Construction Contract. Bids will be opened and read aloud immediately thereafter. BID SECURITY AND WAGE / DISCRIMINATION CONDITIONS Bidders are required to provide a certified or cashier's check, or bid bond executed by Bidder and approved Surety Company, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid amount. A successful bidder shall forfeit any surety required by the PBC upon failure on the bidder's part to enter into a contract within 10 days after the notice of award. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, and Bidders are hereby notified that employees and applicants of the contractor shall not be discriminated against in the accordance with Illinois Labor Regulations. Likewise, minority participation is encouraged and Illinois Non-Discrimination rules and regulations apply. Certified Payroll reporting will be required at each Pay application for prior period work. Subcontractors are encouraged to attend. This will be the only time for site access by bidders. A successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the 150 CALENDAR DAYS - the Contract Time. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond and a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract, and Insurance certificate in a form acceptable to Owner, will be required of the successful Bidder.
