Renovation of a municipal facility in Boulder, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Reference Number 0000326261 desires to replace selected electrical equipment at the Boulder Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) at 4049 N 75th St., Boulder, CO. The existing electrical infrastructure is aging and in need of replacement prior to component failure. The WRRF electrical system backbone is a 13.2kV loop with step-down transformers that feed individual 480V Motor Control Centers (MCCs). MCCs feed low voltage electrical panels through low voltage transformers. The of this project is intended to replace low voltage gear (transformers, 120V/240V/208V panels, etc) fed from MCCs where such equipment is at the end of its useful life. In cases where existing low voltage panels do not meet spare capacity requirements, the replacement of MCC breakers may also be required. The of the project will also include indoor and outdoor fiber conduit and junction box installation and the installation of 480V manual transfer switches and docking stations to facilitate future emergency generator power.
