Site work for a water / sewer project in Newark, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Owner reserves the right to delete from the Contract one or more items listed and the right to add or subtract from the quantity of each item. The Contractor is required to have or obtain a City contractor's license and State of Delaware business license prior to starting the work. The Contractor is required to obtain any permits required for completion of the work. The fees for City of Newark permits, if applicable, will be waived. All contractors and subcontractors performing work covered by this contract must pay their workers the higher of the State of Delaware and DavisBacon prevailing wages and fringe benefits determinations for the classifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, or cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposed bid price, payable to the City of Newark. Failure to provide the required bid security may be grounds for rejection of the bid. The project includes, but is not limited to, approximately 8,000 linear feet of CIPP Lining, approximately 100 vertical feet of manhole lining. The project also includes approximately 23 manhole lid replacements and construction of a bypass piping operation crossing the White Clay Creek. All work shall be performed in accordance with all Local, State, and Federal laws and regulations.
