Resurfacing and various right-of-way repairs (curb, gutter, sidewalks, etc.) on various streets within the City of Chesapeake as funded by various Federal and State grant programs. The Work under this contract consists of resurfacing and various right-of-way repairs (curb, gutter, sidewalks, etc.) on various streets within the City of Chesapeake as funded by various Federal and State grant programs. The amount of work to be performed will be dependent upon the availability of agency funding. The City plans to select a single contractor. The contract period and final completion date will be seventy-five (75) days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The selected contractor will be required to execute the standard contract enclosed. The contractor must be on the list of VDOT Pre-qualified Contractors. Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be subject to and in accordance with Section 54-63(5) of the Chesapeake City Code and the Contract Documents. City of Chesapeake, Virginia as obligee, in the amount of FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE DOLLAR VALUE OF THE BID, lawful money of the United States of America, for the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, jointly and severally and firmly by these presents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any minor non-substantive errors or informalities in the Bid.
