Renovation of a residential development in Marshalltown, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Housing & Community Development - Lead Hazard Reduction Program All projects shall be engineered to include complete cleaning of all occupied spaces within a dwelling unit. Contractor should be prepared to include all costs of cleaning. Should the conditions allow for establishing containment the lead hazard control program will designate the methods to be utilized. The contractor does not automatically have the liberty to establish areasthat are outside containment. Pre-existing hazards and the scope of work are primary factors that allow for the use of establishing containment. A restricted work area will be established using barrier tape, fencing or other appropriate barriers. Properly post signs that include the words WARNING LEAD AREA - POISON - NO SMOKING OR EATING in bold letters in a language that is comprehensive for occupants and neighbors. Occupants will not be allowed in the work area Lead Based Paint Remediation must be completed in 10 days from receiving the Notice to Proceed All projects with costs of $20,000 or more or healthy homes project costs of $5,000 or more are subject to HUD's preapproval prior to issuance of a Notice to Proceed.
