Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Lawrence, Kansas. Completed plans call for the addition of a stadium; for the demolition of a stadium; for the renovation of a stadium; for site work for a stadium; playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.
The gateway project at the intersection of 11th & Mississippi streets in Lawrence involves a phased renovation, demolition and rebuild of the north gateway to the University of Kansas campus. The goal of the project is to provide new and enhanced spaces to 1) drive student recruitment, 2) host conferences and events throughout the year that spur economic development and enhance the quality of life in Lawrence, and 3) upgrade Kansas Football facilities for student-athletes and gameday guests. This phase of the project is to complete all work that enables us to begin demolition of the corner of campus while keeping all utilities in service for events and daily operations. This consists of site water, gas, electrical, telecom and relocation of electrical & IPF cross connect rooms with associated architectural and system requirements.
