The City-Count of Butte-Silver Bow (BSB) is seeking proposals from qualified Architectural/Engineering firms for the development of a Way Finding Plan for Uptown Butte. Butte Silver Bow has received a Montana Mainstreet Grant (MMS) award in the amount of $50,000 and has partnered with the Urban Revitalization Agency (URA) with matching funds in the amount of $20,000, and with the Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) in the amount of $20,000 for a total project budget of $90,000 for the preparation of a Way Finding Plan for Butte's historic Uptown business district (see attached map). Plan preparation will include an exhaustive survey of existing conditions, development of a wayfinding strategy, and a preparation of a final report that addresses Way Finding, aesthetic, construction and funding/budget strategies. The Wayfinding Plan must be prepared in a manner that is consistent with all applicable requirements set forth in the MMS Application Guidelines. Following pre-design approval, the selected consultant may also be asked at the discretion of Butte Silver Bow to assist in grant writing, develop a final construction design, prepare construction bid documents, assist in bidding the project, and oversee construction activities, including related grant administration and management. Way Finding Plan - Uptown Butte This RFP will result in professional services contracted to a single architecture/engineering firm for the preparation of a Way Finding Plan for Butte's historic Uptown business district. Plan preparation will include an exhaustive survey of existing conditions, development of a wayfinding strategy, and a preparation of a final report that addresses Way Finding, aesthetics, construction and funding/budget strategies. This will serve as an important planning document for BSB and the Uptown Master Plan Committee in the development of Wayfinding improvement projects and the pursuit of implementation funding.
